We are committed to providing quality Veterinary medicine along with friendly, compassionate service.
Annual wellness exams allow us to evaluate your pet’s overall health, and gives us an opportunity to detect and address problems before they become serious, in order to help you keep them on track to living a long, healthy life.
Young animals are like children–it is a never-ending job to keep them safe, healthy, and happy. One of the ways that we keep out pets (& kids) safe and healthy is by vaccinating them multiple times in order to “build-up” their immune systems.
Diagnostic testing can identify problems your pet may be experiencing so that proper treatment can begin before a condition worsens to a point that becomes difficult to treat or cure. Unfortunately, pets cannot tell us where it hurts, and oftentimes, a healthy-appearing animal may be masking symptoms of disease or illness.
Annual dental exams and teeth cleanings are recommended to not only protect your pet from numerous preventable heath problems, but to also help them to maintain a healthy, clean mouth that is free from pain.
Soft tissue surgery is any surgery that is non-joint or bone related. The common soft tissue surgeries that we perform are spay and neuter procedures, mass removals, and hernia repairs. The more advanced soft tissue surgeries that we perform include wound management, cystotomy, abdominal exploratory surgery, and splenectomy
Being old is not a disease. Elderly pets need our special attention as they tend to be our “silent suffers” who often live with painful, debilitating conditions that can usually be managed to ensure that they have a great quality of life for the remainder of their years. We recommend that these pets be seen every 6 months.
Pain is complex, and unfortunately, some animals are very good at hiding it. The more chronic pain is, the more difficult it is to manage and treat it, which ultimately decreases your pet’s quality of life. We believe that all pets should live a pain-free life, so we take great care in treating both acute and chronically painful conditions.
Sugar Land Veterinary Clinic is not an emergency clinic. However, we do provide urgent care to animals that need our immediate attention during business hours. We recommend the following hospitals for emergency care:
